Community Rock-Painting at Rother Street Arts House for the Stratford Town Trust Fun Palace
We had a great morning at Rother Street Arts House running a rock‑painting activity for the Stratford Town Trust Fun Palace event. People of all ages joined in to create colourful little masterpieces, each one to be displayed in the Garden of Wellbeing we created at Stratford‑upon‑Avon Hospital.
It was lovely meeting so many members of the community and connecting with organisations from across Stratford‑upon‑Avon, as well as catching up with groups we’ve collaborated with before. There was plenty of interest in the Garden of Wellbeing and in the work of our Green Therapy group, and it was great to share what we do with new faces.
Members of our Green Therapy group played an important role in the event. They helped prepare materials beforehand and supported the activity throughout the morning, welcoming visitors and guiding them through the painting. Their involvement added a personal touch and showed how much pride they take in contributing to community projects.
Thank you to Stratford Town Trust for having us, and congratulations on twenty‑five years of creating such a positive impact in the Stratford‑upon‑Avon community.
Our Green Therapy group is currently seeking funding to continue supporting individuals in the community with mental health challenges and learning difficulties while creating and maintaining vital green spaces across Stratford‑upon‑Avon.
