A Community Collaboration with In2Theatre and Wind in the Willows

Creativity and community often meet in the most uplifting ways, and our recent collaboration with In2Theatre has been one of those truly special moments. In2Theatre are a Stratford‑upon‑Avon based company of adults with learning disabilities who amaze audiences with their enthusiastic and skilful productions. We are proud to support two of their performers through our Green Therapy programme, where they help care for the gardens at Stratford‑upon‑Avon Hospital and bring their energy, humour and kindness to the group each week.

This partnership blossomed into a joyful community project as we helped create the set for their production of Wind in the Willows. With the help of our community volunteers and corporate volunteers, we painted chairs in vibrant colours, decorated them with patterns and characters from the play, built a charming picket fence and created the trees that formed part of the woodland scenery. It was hands‑on, imaginative and full of laughter, and it showed how much can be achieved when people come together with purpose.

Cheering On Our Friends from the Green Therapy Group

We wanted our Green Therapy group to experience the magic of seeing their close friends perform, so we purchased tickets for the Friday showing and headed to the Bear Pit Theatre to cheer them on. The performance was full of heart, humour and personality, and our group gave them rave reviews. We were incredibly proud of them, not only for their talent on stage but for the confidence, joy and connection they have built through both In2Theatre and our Green Therapy programme.

A Celebration at The Garden of Arden

The week before the show opened, we welcomed the entire cast to The Garden of Arden for a celebration lunch. They enjoyed time together in the sunshine, shared stories and excitement about the upcoming performance and took a walk around the nature reserve to soak in the natural surroundings. It was a beautiful moment of calm, connection and community before the curtain went up.
